But I expect a lot from a bank. You get interest every 6 months only on your savings account. They have extremely ugly fee charges, and if I remember have a requirement of how much you have in an account (I think its 100 or your get charged).

I applied at Golden Mortgage and all I can say is this is the place to go. You will not get service or rates like this from the big guys. Treating you like a customer making their biggest investment is a given. You will not be treated like a number. At Golden Mortgage you are treated like gold.

Hills Bank staff downtown Iowa City has some shady and stuck up people working for them. I think if they got rid of them, Hills Bank would be a better bank overall!

I go to this branch because I am greeted with a smile and a friendly greeting. I love that they make small talk with their customers. I always grab some candy on the way out and they never question it.

Good service, great rates! CD rates were much higher than the other banks I checked out. They also have several different CD maturity dates.

I worked with Nolan at Premier Mortgage. He was able to lower my rate by 2 points. He got me off an adjustable onto a fixed rate and my credit wasn't even that good. I strongly recomend that you give him a call. Everyone there was very professional and friendly.
